This is the overview map for the Summer 2008 Sport Touring ride I took June-July of that year.  It shows the route I took as well as the locations I stopped in order (alphabetically).

This map is an exact representation of the route taken, although I've generalized the start and end points of the trip so that the whole world at large can't see a map pointing DIRECTLY to my apartment.

All tolled, the route is 4,063 miles (6,538km) and took 14 days.  That averages out to 290 miles per day and considering that I spent a full day just hiking in Glacier, and one day just riding the 60 miles from Grand Teton National Park to Yellowstone, that should give an impression of what that 13th day was like riding from Butte, MT to Jean, NV (867 miles) in the middle of the July heat.

Advanced Diver Completed!

Despite the original difficulties that arose with the massive swell and wave conditions on that first attempt out on the Spectre, I was able to finish up my Advanced dives a few weeks later on that sa...
