Description:
Considering that it was nearly 105 degrees the previous day, it did not seem exactly fair that we should have to worry about thunder storms the very next day, but sure enough, they started rolling in from the west. The Sierras create something called a "rain shadow" and for the most part, as the clouds crossed the final threshold of mountains we were encamped in, a lot of them would dissipate right before our eyes.
