The views were astonishing all day. The weather was perfect, hovering between 75 and 80 degrees, with clear air letting you see as far as the horizon allowed. The Salton Sea looks like a mirage directly south of the trail and the farthest ridgeline towards the right is the upper edge of Anza Borrego Desert State Park.
